The seven-year-old Women’s Initiative of Northern Kentucky invites women from Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky to its inaugural Regional Women’s Summit.

“It’s Time to Take the Lead” is the topic of the day-long conference. Women’s leadership expert Betsy Myers will be the keynote speaker. Myers is the author of “Take the Lead: Motivate, Inspire and Bring Out the Best in Yourself and Everyone Around You.” The first White House director of women’s initiatives and outreach she has advocated for entrepreneurs and female-run businesses as an official with the Small Business Administration.

Following a stint at Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership, she now runs the Center for Women and Business at Bentley University. Her sister Dee Dee Myers was a White House press secretary.

Breakout sessions will be held on leadership, self-confidence and branding.

“Women will be able to bring practical tips back to their business or organization,” said summit chair Laura Cook Kroeger.

The day includes lunch as well as free admission to the annual Shore to Shore networking event at the Marriott Riverfront across the street from the Convention Center.
