The Contemporary Arts Center was transformed into a foodie’s paradise in late August for the Cuisine, Art, Cocktails Gala and Art Auction.
Nearly 300 people attended the cocktail reception and silent auction. The evening began with specialty drinks made by top area mixologists before guests headed up to the second-floor gallery where dinner was prepared by nearly a dozen of the region’s hottest chefs. The evening included recognition for Maria Kalomenidou, gala honorary chair and creator of the cookbook “Cuisine, Art, Cocktails.” A docent-led project, the book features area chefs and their culinary creations inspired by specific works of art that have been shown at the CAC.
