Sunday, Oct. 30, 5:15 p.m., Hyatt Regency Cincinnati
The Cincinnati Associates of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion will host the 33rd annual Tribute Dinner. Vivian and James Schwab are Tribute Dinner honorees, and Shannon and Lee Carter will receive the inaugural Yedidut-Friendship Award.
The Schwabs and the Carters are active community volunteers. School officials said both couples embody the four pillars of the Cincinnati campus: social justice, interfaith relations, higher education and cultural programs and the arts.
Founded in 1875, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion educates men and women for service to North American and world Jewry as rabbis, cantors, educators and nonprofit management professionals, and offers graduate programs to scholars and clergy of all faiths.
Funds raised at the dinner will benefit the Rabbinical School and the Joan and Philip Pines School of Graduate Studies.
Tickets are $200.
