YWCA Greater Cincinnati is seeking nominations for its 2017 class of Career Women of Achievement.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, Dec. 2.

The eight women chosen will be honored at the 38th annual Career Women of Achievement Luncheon on May 10 at the Duke Energy Convention Center. The event regularly draws more than 1,500.

The YWCA established the Career Women of Achievement Awards in 1980 to increase awareness and appreciation for the diverse contributions of women in the workforce and in the community. Women are recognized for their outstanding career achievements, strong leadership qualities and ability to serve as role models.The award has been presented to 298 women over the last 37 years.

Former honorees Mary Miller, CEO and co-owner, JANCOA Janitorial Services Inc. and Liza D. Smitherman, vice president of professional development at Jostin Construction Inc. are the event co-chairs for 2017.
