Boys Hope Girls Hope Cincinnati celebrated a construction milestone at its new Boys Hope home, Heidt Hope House, at its “topping off” ceremony in early March.
The event offered supporters and onlookers a chance to watch as the project’s construction team hoisted the final beam of the Finneytown house to the top of the structure. The beam was signed by supporters before being set in place, marking the end of the framing period and the start of the final construction phase.
The house will have four scholar bedrooms, two staff bedrooms for house parents, a guest bedroom, large kitchen, dining and living spaces, separate study workplaces for each scholar and a group work area, as well as a patio and an area suitable for exercise equipment.
The new home is replacing an existing Boys Hope Home on North Bend Avenue, which welcomed its first scholar in 1984.
Heidt Hope House is made possible through the support of numerous donors and volunteers as part of the Building Hope Initiative.
