Sunday, Oct. 15, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens
More than 1,000 participants are expected to come together for this year’s Tour de Cure ride and walk to stop diabetes.
The remastered event features new course distances for a scenic ride, ranging from 25 to 85 miles. Also new are the a one- or two-lap fun walks, which wind through the zoo grounds.
Participants with diabetes are encouraged to register as Red Riders or Red Striders and share in the fun. All registered participants will receive free entry to the zoo for the day.
“Diabetes is a devastating disease that touches us all, and the need for funds is more important than ever,” said Chasity Bothman, American Diabetes Association development director. “Nearly 30 million Americans, including 300,000 in Greater Cincinnati, have diabetes.”
