Brighter Futures Celebration, Easterseals’ annual awards gala, will honor Kaivac Cleaning Systems as its Outstanding Community Partner. The award is presented to a person or company that removes barriers and provides opportunities for veterans, people with disabilities and people facing disadvantages.

Kaivac has partnered with Easterseals since 2004. Individuals with disabilities produce more than 60 parts for Kaivac machines.

“We believe it is very important to give the janitor better tools to do his job and to raise the dignity of the cleaning profession,” said Kaivac founder and CEO Bob Robinson Sr. “Easterseals focuses on people with special needs and those with handicaps … giving them a job that produces dignity and pride.”

The evening also will showcase the talents, achievements and ambitions of three people involved in Easterseals’ programs.

Honorary co-chairs are Joe Alter of AK Steel and his wife, Liz.

The gala is presented by the Hatton Foundation, with additional sponsorship from AK Steel, Katz Teller, KMK Law, Kroger and Truepoint Wealth Counsel.

Tickets are $125.
