The Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired honored its volunteers during its annual banquet at Great American Ball Park. Six volunteers were saluted for special service, and one was recognized for more than 500 hours in a year.
Perfetti Van Melle (the maker of Mentos and Airheads candy) closed its North American headquarters in Erlanger, Kentucky, for a day in September so its 230 employees could help two nonprofits. This was the company’s ninth annual Community Day.
