The holidays are officially over, and 2018 isn’t exactly giving us a warm welcome, but not all the area’s organizations are in recovery mode. For those willing to brave the arctic chill, there are activities to coax you out. Zoo La La is Cincinnati Zoo’s wildest summer party for a purpose. Set in the zoo’s newest exhibit, “Africa,” this adults night out will include zoo-nique cocktails, a raffle full of special zoo experiences, the opportunity to mingle with animal ambassadors and the chance see your favorite animals up close, including a special Cheetah Encounter experience.
Recessions, stock market swings, election years – none affect nonprofit fundraising, Cincinnati insiders say, as much as telling compelling stories. Stronger storytelling, they say, leads to more donors and higher levels of loyalty and giving. But as they enter 2016, development directors in Cincinnati aren’t looking merely for financial donors but, rather, to build relationships with people who care about the organization’s mission.
