The Salvation Army presented two awards at its 59th Annual Civic & Awards Luncheon.

The William Booth Award, named for the organization’s founder, went to Kevin Sheehan, president and chief operating officer of Hilltop Cos. Sheehan has served on the Salvation Army’s Cincinnati Advisory Board since 1999 and has been its chair the past three years.

The Community Partner Award went to Dr. O’dell Owens and his distinguished bell-ringer friends, including Oscar Robertson, Dean Gregory, Thane Maynard and Stan Chesley. Over the last 12 years, Owens and his friends have raised tens of thousands of dollars in support of the Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign.

The event took place Nov. 17 at the Hyatt Regency.
