People Working Cooperatively donations top $760,000

People Working Cooperatively received more than $760,000 in donations for critical home repairs and home modifications needed by more than 300 veterans and veterans’ families on PWC’s waiting list.

The total includes a $300,000 match by an anonymous donor. In addition to donations from the local community, PWC received donations from area organizations:

  • $200,000 from The Home Depot Foundation
  • $75,000 from The John A. Schroth Family Charitable Trust, PNC Bank
  • $20,000 from The UPS Foundation
  • $10,000 from The Scripps Howard Foundation, TriHealth and Duke Energy

“The funds we’ve raised are going to make an incredible impact,” said Jock Pitts, President and CEO of People Working Cooperatively. “These are men and women who have served this country honorably and courageously, but came home and fell on hard times because of an injury, a disability or other unfortunate circumstances. We are astounded by the support we’ve received from the community, and proud to be able to provide these critical services to our local veterans.”
