Retired educator receives Notre Dame Club’s top honor

The Notre Dame Club of Greater Cincinnati presented Thomas E. McKiernan with the 2016 Exemplar Award. Presentation took place during the annual Family Mass and Brunch, attended by 160 guests.

The award honors individuals who have provided lifelong service to humanity. 
McKiernan, a Xavier University graduate, is both the son and father of Notre Dame graduates.

He spent 38 years at Seton High School, starting as a teacher, serving as an associate principal, and retiring as the founding president of the Seton High School Foundation. Since his retirement, he has done extensive international humanitarian work for the Catholic Church. He has served in numerous volunteer positions with Catholic and community organizations and has received many awards.

The event was chaired by Barbara Stefl.
