New officers for Zonta International District 5 include Terri Purtee-Stein, a member of Zonta Club of Cincinnati. She will serve as Area 2 director effective June 1. She was elected at the 45th Zonta International District 5 Fall Governor’s Conference.
Board members of The Association of Fundraising Professionals have elected new officers. Serving as president will be Chris Martin, of United Way of Greater Cincinnati. Other officers are: president-elect Vanessa Mosley, CFRE, of Red Cross of Greater Cincinnati; past president Sydney Schnurr, CFRE, University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music; treasurer Chris Owens, CFRE, People Working Cooperatively.
William J. Burwinkel has been appointed to the board of commissioners for Great Parks of Hamilton County by Probate Court Judge Ralph Winkler. Burwinkel is founder and CEO of the National Marketshare Group Inc.
The Cincinnati Children’s Choir welcomed Lauren Hess as executive director. She has served on CCC’s board of directors and worked at a wide variety of arts organizations in Greater Cincinnati, including CET, Linton Chamber Music Series and May Festival.
Eric Neefus, a case worker at Talbert House for the past 12 years, was singled out among the agency’s nearly 900 employees, as the 2015 Employee of the Year.
The Salvation Army has appointed attorney Mark H. Longenecker Jr., to a three-year term as chair of the Cincinnati Advisory Board. He is managing partner of Longenecker Law Firm, LLC. New members joining the advisory board are Alan C. Caslavka, president and CEO of Avionics and Digital Systems at GE Aviation, and Charles LeBoeuf, CPA, partner and Cincinnati office co-leader at MCM CPAs and Advisors. Both are newcomers to Cincinnati, arriving in 2011 and 2012 respectively. LeBouef is former chair of the Salvation Army in Louisville.
