The 23nd annual Greater Cincinnati Heart Ball broke all records, raising more than $1.2 million for the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
This evening, themed “Dine with Heart” and presented by TriHealth Heart Institute and St. Elizabeth Healthcare Heart & Vascular Institute, was the most successful in Heart Ball history. It drew 1,250 dinner guests and nearly 400 after-party guests. Kerry and John Mongelluzzo served as chairs.
Guests were entertained by Food Network’s Alton Brown, with Thom Brennaman as emcee.
Dave Herche was honored with the Heart of the City Award for his philanthropic contributions. The evening culminated with a video in which Tim and Sarah Smallwood shared the story of their daughter Sophia, who died of a severe congenital heart defect.
The 2017 Heart Ball, on Feb. 25, will be chaired by Joan and Alvin Roeh.
