Make-A-Wish Ohio Kentucky & Indiana hosted its annual Cincinnati BIG Wish Gala on March 11 at Cincinnati Music Hall.
Presented by Western & Southern Financial Group and Capital Investment Group, the event was expected to raise $225,000 to help make more wishes come true for local kids battling life-threatening conditions. Southern Ohio has more than 160 medically eligible wish kids, and the average cost of a wish is $8,000.
During the BIG Wish Gala, stories of courageous local wish kids were celebrated, including 14-year-old Samone of Cincinnati, who has a life-threatening blood disorder and served as the night’s honorary wish kid. In February, Samone’s wish – to go on a Hawaiian cruise to dance with hula girls, see volcanoes and play in the water – was granted.
