Wednesday, May 18, 7-10 p.m., Music Hall Ballroom
The Music Hall Ballroom will resonate with sounds of the big band era when the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra performs in a dance and concert engagement. The event will benefit public radio stations WMKV 89.3 FM and WLHS 89.9 FM.
Under the direction of Nick Hilscher and featuring singer Jenny Swoish, the orchestra performs the original Miller music charts with a contemporary energy and sound. It plays nearly 300 dates a year.
Cincinnati Pops music director John Morris Russell will emcee.
“We love having JMR host these concerts because he simply lights up the room with his personality and humor,” said station director George Zahn. “He and his wife are also great swing dancers, and he always takes to the dance floor during the evening.”
The concert is made possible by the support of Mercedes Benz of Fort Mitchell, the Spring Grove family of services and the Maple Knoll Radio Network.
Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 day of the show. Discount $3 parking is available when purchased in advance.
