For those who think climate change is too big to tackle, the Midwest Regional Sustainability Summit has an answer – actually, 100 of them. Keynote speaker Paul Hawken and other regional leaders will explore 100 solutions to reduce carbon emissions.
Green Umbrella is partnering with the City of Cincinnati, the Brueggeman Center for Dialogue at Xavier University, Hamilton County Planning and Development, the Greater Cincinnati Green Business Council and Confluence Water Technology Innovation Cluster for the region’s second such event.
Hawken is co-founder of Smith & Hawken and a proponent of sustainable business practices.
The event also will feature a lunchtime awards ceremony honoring area small business leaders who have successfully incorporated sustainability into their business practices, as well as breakout sessions with insight from experts in the field.
Presenting sponsors are Xavier University and Greenacres Foundation.
