American Cancer Society dinner honors volunteers

The American Cancer Society recognized volunteers for their commitment to fighting cancer at the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. The event took place at The Madison.

The many volunteers, survivors, caregivers and researchers in attendance were recognized for their courage, innovation, determination, empathy and passion to make an impact on those battling cancer. Rather than ask for donations, the society encouraged attendees to find areas in which to donate time — by driving a patient to treatment, participating in a Relay For Life event or volunteering at a Making Strides event.
