Cincinnati Flower Show won’t return until 2018

Cincinnati’s welcome to spring – the Cincinnati Flower Show – is taking another year off. The Cincinnati Horticultural Society said no show will be held in 2017 because the planned dates coincided with the April 15-16 Easter weekend.

CHS chair Marsha Haberer said smaller events are being planned throughout the year instead and the Flower Show will return to Yeatman’s Cove in 2018.

She said plans are underway for the 10th annual Ladies Day in 2017. The event will be April 27 at Kenwood Country Club and will welcome as its special guest Food Network’s 2015 Holiday Baking Championship Star.

The horticultural society has been recognized for its world-class events since the first Cincinnati Flower Show in 1990. It has provided financial support to a diverse group of community organizations, and a donation from the 2016 Flower Show Gala has been given to The Children’s Home of Cincinnati.
