Stepping Stones Golf Classic brings in $82,000

The June Golf Classic netted a record $82,000 to support Stepping Stones programs for children, teens and adults with disabilities. The event drew 170 golfers from across the country to O’Bannon Creek Golf Course in Loveland.
Taking first place in the morning flight was the Hunt Builders team of Dave Wurtenberger, Steve Holter, Dank Theissen and Gary Hanser. The first-place team in the afternoon consisted of David Eltringham, Rob Robinson, Ryan Hoskins and Thad Reinhard.
Each winning team member was entered in a drawing for the opportunity to play in the Hyundai Invitational National Finals Tournament in Las Vegas in October. Holter and Hoskins won the an all-expense-paid trip.
Major sponsors for the event were Niagara Bottling, Kroger and Republic Plastics. he planning committee included Kelly Conway, David Eltringham, Allen Goss, Joe Heller, Steve Mennen and Brian Taylor.
