Step up and help at Kings Island Kicks Cancer

Monday, Aug. 1-Sunday, Aug. 21, Kings Island

Melanoma Know More once again will partner with Kings Island for the 2016 Kings Island Kicks Cancer Campaign. Proceeds will benefit Melanoma Know More, Pink Ribbon Girls and the DragonFly Foundation.

MKM will help staff a booth at the park. Volunteers will help highlight the campaign to visitors, encouraging them to purchase a soccer ball for $5 and kick it into the park fountain. On Aug. 21, one ball will be selected at random and its owner will win a car.

MKM needs more than 150 volunteers to cover four three-hour shifts each day. Anyone working at least one shift will receive free admission to the park that day, along with a free Melanoma Know More T-shirt.

Volunteers, who must be 16 or older, will not handle money. They will be joined by volunteers from the Pink Ribbon Girls and Dragonfly Foundation.
Last year the campaign raised $57,000.
