A full house of 260 members and guests honored outgoing Cincinnati Woman’s Club president Mary Lou Motl and celebrated the success of her President’s Project. Members and friends of CWC contributed more than $101,000 to support the dual-focus project, “Pitch In for the Kitchens.”
Augmented by a $25,000 matching grant, about half the proceeds will be used to purchase a custom van for Cincinnati COOKS! and to support the Cincinnati COOKS! Student Welfare Fund. The program, affiliated with the Freestore Foodbank, offers 10 weeks of free training to prepare non-working adults for jobs in the food service industry.
