Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati recently handed out its inaugural President’s Volunteer Service Awards during a ceremony July 28 at its headquarters in Bond Hill.
Each honorees received a letter of commendation and a certificate signed by President Barack Obama.
“It’s incredible to look back on the past year and see how much we have accomplished, and how many of those accomplishments were possible because of these volunteers,” said Ed Lee, the organization’s CEO.
Honorees were Gold Award (500 volunteer hours) John Wright and Dick Mushaben; Silver Award (250-499 hours) Ilana Matheson, John Slattery, Ken Clark, Lin Weikert, Michael Flynn and Richard Barbian.
