Discounted admission to Children’s Museum

Guests from all backgrounds now may find it easier to visit Duke Energy Children’s Museum by participating in Museums for All, which provides discounted admission for families presenting food assistance (EBT) cards.

The magnetically encoded card is a way for state public assistance departments to issue benefits directly. Anyone presenting a current card and photo ID can purchase admission to the museum for $2 per ticket for up to 10 tickets. They also will receive free parking by presenting the card. Valid cards from all 50 states will be accepted.

“We really appreciate Cincinnati Museum Center offering our consumers the opportunity to experience something that might otherwise be a little out of their reach,” said Moira Weir, director of Hamilton County Job and Family Services.

In the past, Cincinnati Museum Center has reached low-income families through Free Fridays. Museums for All will help Cincinnati Museum Center reach a larger number of low-income families more effectively by offering greatly reduced admission every day.

Museums for All is a cooperative initiative between the Institute for Museum and Library Services and the Association of Children’s Museums.
