Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9 and 10, multiple locations
Cincinnati Rotary wants to engage the community in a conversation about peace – and the deterrents to peace in the community – with its WageCincyPeace initiative. The goal is to pull together people who want to be a part of peace-related efforts at the local level.
The WageCincyPeace Summit will kick off a year of local activities, culminating in a major event in 2017.
The summit will include a dinner, social event and speaker on Friday night aboard the Celebrations Riverboat. The next day will feature a service project and lunch at Taft High School, where summit goers will redesign and build a courtyard and pack clothing for poor families.
Tickets – which include Friday dinner and a drink ticket, plus lunch on Saturday – are $10 for those under 40, $50 for those over 40. Register by Sept. 5.
