Beer, wine and food star at festival

Friday-Saturday, Oct. 7-8, 5-11 p.m., Village Green, Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming

The Beer, Wine and Food Festival is back for a seventh year – along with two nights of music – in the open air. Attendees may sample from more than 80 varieties of craft beer and wine, along with multiple food offerings.

Musical performances Friday will be by Three Day Rule and Zack Attack. The Bundys and The Tillers will perform Saturday.

Chalk artists will work their magic on the streets around the park in Wyoming’s downtown, and children are invited to join in the fun.

Proceeds will benefit The Cure Starts Now Foundation, founded by Wyoming parents Keith and Brooke Desserich, who lost a daughter to brain cancer. It is one of the only r foundations dedicated to a “home run cure” for all cancers.
