Nonprofits invited to compete in ‘bracket’ challenge

Calling all Cincinnati nonprofits: Brackets for Good challenges your organization to a friendly competition and a chance to win $10,000.

Brackets for Good, an Indianapolis-based charitable organization, hosts online, bracket-style fundraising tournaments every March.

Participating nonprofits rally enthusiastic donors to out-fundraise their opponents in order to advance. These organizations gain exposure, access to free fundraising tools and potential new donors through Brackets for Good’s localized marketing and corporate involvement.

Since 2012, it has raised more than $2.75 million for local charities.

The tournament expanded from Indianapolis to Louisville and will break into the Cincinnati market in 2017.

To date, 28 Cincinnati nonprofits have registered to be considered to play in the tournament starting Feb. 24.

In the Cincinnati area, sponsors include Bingham Greenebaum Doll, Dewey’s Pizza, Topic Design, Citimark, AT&T, ReSource and Lids.

“The combined efforts of our attorneys help more than 100 nonprofit organizations across Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio,” said Robyn Radomski, chief business development and marketing officer for Bingham Greenebaum Doll. “Supporting Brackets for Good … allows us to empower numerous organizations with one investment and is a fun way to create social good.”

Oct. 28 is the deadline for charities to register.
