Saturday, Oct. 15, 7-11 p.m., Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum
You do not want to be caught (un)dead missing this ghoulish gathering. The 2016 Zombie Ball, Dance of the Undead, is coming back to life for a second year of eerie entertainment, killer costumes and lively libations.
Guests are invited to don undead costumes – zombies, vampires and mummies are a favorite, but creativity is encouraged – and join the hordes for a haunted hayride, zombie photo-booth and a DJ who will have guests dance until they’re dead (from exhaustion, of course). A horror-themed buffet, provided by Two Women in a Kitchen, and open bar for beer and wine will allow guests to gorge like zombies in a graveyard. Or, if you’re really dying to show your seasonal spirit, impress the “Walkers” on the (blood) red carpet by opting to arrive in a hearse provided by Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home.
Tickets start at $40 for individuals or $75 for couples (21-plus) and include the buffet, and open bar from 7-10 p.m., followed by a cash bar from 10-11 p.m. Upgrading to add the hearse ride is an additional $10, $15 for couples. The younger zombies (18-21) can purchase tickets for $15.
