Beer Baron Ball supports Brewing Heritage Trail

Saturday, Oct. 22, 6 p.m., Jack Casino, downtown

The fourth annual Beer Baron Ball will feature dining, dancing, a silent auction and craft beer. Inductees into the Beer Baron Hall of Fame will be saluted, including Davis Embree, the first recorded commercial brewer in Cincinnati; George Wiedemann, who owned the largest brewery in Northern Kentucky during the late 19th century; and Johan Caspar Bruckmann and the Bruckmann family, who were the only Cincinnati brewers to operate throughout the Prohibition era.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cincinnati Brewing Heritage Trail, an initiative of the Brewery District.

A mobile app will be unveiled, giving guests the opportunity to see a virtual version of the first phase of the Brewing Heritage Trail. They will be able to to engage with the trail through guided audio tours as well as augmented and virtual reality experiences.

The event is presented by the Vontz Family Fund through the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Other sponsors include Decal Impressions, Hixon, Christian Moerlein Lagers & Ales and Game Day Communications.

Tickets are $150.
