Car enthusiasts from Cincinnati and beyond traveled to Washington Court House for a look at the private collection of cars and boats owned by Julie and John Richardson. The August outing was part of the Accelerate the Cure 2.0 Car Show.

The event raised $125,000. Thanks to the Richardsons, who underwrote the outing, 100 percent of proceeds will benefit the JDRF Southwest Ohio chapter. JDRF is a global organization working to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

The event was orchestrated by the Accelerate 2.0 committee, which included Kate Devine, Megan Joy, Julie Richardson, Susan Mustian and Petra Vester.
The highlight of the evening was the car raffle, in which the winners, Petra and Russ Vester, received one of the classic restored cars from the Richardson collection.
