Cincinnati Museum Center is giving you a chance to take a peek behind-the-scenes at the restoration work going on to save Union Terminal.
A series of hard hat tours led by CMC’s Heritage Programs and Turner Construction Company will offer details on building history and background along with construction and planning updates.
The 45-minute tours will cover a variety of building and construction areas and provide detail on how workers are protecting historic architecture and the ways they’re preparing to restore features damaged by decades of wear and tear and water damage.
Tour participants must be 16 (with a guardian) or older and wear closed-toe shoes. Hard hats are required and will be provided. For safety reasons, photography is not permitted. Tours begin at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. on Nov. 12, Dec. 10, Jan. 14 and Feb. 11.
Space is limited and registration is required but additional tours will be available for future dates. Each month’s tour will be different as the restoration work progresses.
Tickets: $15 CMC members, $20 non-members.
