St. Vincent de Paul raised more than $105,000 during its RetroFittings fashion event.
Nearly 500 guests attended the 14th annual benefit, which spotlights the designs of students from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning.
The New York-style show, designed by event planner Joe Rigotti, featured fashions created with just $15 in merchandise from any of St. Vincent de Paul’s seven area thrift stores. Fifty-five DAAP students created runway-read fashion based on the theme “We Will Rock You: Icons of Pop, Rock & Roll.”.
The event also featured boutique shopping, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, raffle prizes and a live auction.
Proceeds will benefit St. Vincent de Paul’s efforts to fight poverty and provide emergency assistance throughout Greater Cincinnati.
