At its 2016 annual meeting, the Visiting Nurse Association provided an update on the organization’s 2015 results and transformational initiatives ahead. The VNA also recognized two providers for their contributions to state-of-the-art health care.
Dr. Jeffrey Schlaudecker was named VNA Today Award winner. Schlaudecker serves as the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program director and medical director of The Christ Hospital Acute Care for Elderly Unit. He completed his master’s degree in education with a focus on adult learning theory and was named Kautz Family Endowed Chair of Geriatric Medicine Education at the University of Cincinnati in 2014.
The VNA also recognized Dr. Elizabeth Rabkin with its Heart and Hands Award. Rabkin is associate adjunct professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and medical director for palliative care in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the UC College of Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Medicine and American Association of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
