Health network hopes to unmask the future of cancer care

Saturday, Oct. 27, 6:30 p.m., Duke Energy Convention Center

Organizers for The Christ Hospital Health Network’s gala are designing a masquerade they hope will provide a magical night filled with intrigue. “Unmasking the Future of Cancer Care,” a benefit for The Christ Hospital Cancer Care program, will honor the life of Dr. William Schreiner for “his pioneering vision and leadership in establishing The Christ Hospital Internal Medicine Residency Program; for his steadfast belief in the power of the patient/physician relationship; and for being a mentor, a guide and a beacon of integrity to so many during his 60-plus years of service to humanity through medicine.”

The evening will begin with a reception, followed by dinner and a program. The Moonlit Masquerade after party at 9:30 p.m. will feature the Party Crashers.

Tickets are $250 for the gala, $60 for the after party only.
