Eight local “celebrity” dancers will take the stage at the Jewish Family Service third biennial Dancing with Our Stars gala.

More than 600 guests will cheer on dancers Amy Rubenstein, Brooke Guigui, Ghita Sarembock, Marty Betagole, Matt Hiudt, Michael Woloshin, Oscar Jarnicki and Ross Evans as they perform alongside professional dance partners to compete for a trophy.

“(The dancers) are excited to show off their moves onstage, and we appreciate their dedication toward reaching their personal fundraising goals for such a great cause,” said Judy Kadetz. She is co-chairing the gala with Meryl Juran.

WCPO meteorologist Barak Shapiro will host the event, and Rene Micheo Goldstein, former principal dancer with the Cincinnati Ballet, is the artistic director.

Judges are Megan Mitchell, WLWT anchor and reporter; Dr. Nicholas Marko, University of Cincinnati Brain Tumor Center director; and David Lyman, arts writer.

Individual tickets are $150. Patron tickets for $500 include a VIP reception with Barak Shapiro and priority seating. All tickets include dinner and drinks.
