Candice Crear is the winner of this year’s Emerging Leader Award from OneSource Center for Nonprofit Excellence.
Crear is the founder and CEO of From Fatherless to Fearless, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit that supports teenage girls with strained or absent father figures.
The purpose of the Emerging Leader Award is to create, nurture, and sustain an inclusive community that leverages the talents of executive nonprofit leaders who demonstrate multicultural awareness and advocacy in their work.
As this year’s winner, Crear will receive honorary participation in the Nonprofit Leadership Institute’s 2024-2025 EXCEL Executive Leadership Program.
The EXCEL Leadership Development Program empowers emerging leaders by providing them with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to excel in their roles. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes personalized coaching, practical skill-building and opportunities for networking and collaboration.
In announcing the selection, OneSource Center for Nonprofit Excellence stated Crear’s achievements reflect the core values of the EXCEL program: excellence, innovation and leadership.
The statement reads:
“As she incorporates EXCEL into her leadership journey, Candice will be prepared to take on new challenges and opportunities, leveraging newfound skills and knowledge to create lasting positive change. Her innovative approach to leadership, coupled with her passion for driving change, makes her a standout participant in this year’s cohort.”
OneSource Center is a resource center providing services, products, and connections to strengthen the impact of nonprofits serving the Greater Cincinnati Community.
