The Christ Hospital officially has completed the $20 million expansion of its 17,800 square-foot medical center in Liberty Township. The medical center began offering updated imaging services, including cardiac MRIs, more efficient testing and new low-dose radiation screenings, on Monday.
“We are excited to announce the completion of our expansion at The Christ Hospital Medical Center – Liberty Township location,” Debbie Hayes, President and CEO of The Christ Hospital Health Network, said of the new-look Cox Road facility.
Opening in 2018, The Christ Hospital’s Liberty Township site already offered a wide variety of health care services including, emergency medicine, inpatient care, family birthing center, cardiac rehab, physical and occupational therapy and outpatient surgeries. This multimillion-dollar renovation focused on expanding imaging services.
Medical enhancements include:
- MRI Scanner for cardiac imaging
- 1.5 Siemens Sola Superconducting Magnet for orthopedics, oncology, urology, neurology and women’s health.
- CT Scanner Philips ICT offering low dose radiation and pinpoint accuracy for high quality images for oncology and cardiac.
The project included physical space and cosmetic updates as well.
The Christ Hospital Health Network partnered with Champlin Architecture and CMTA Engineering for the design of the addition. Construction team consisted of Danis Construction Company, Sure Mechanical, Denier Electric and The Geiler Company.
Hayes said the upgrades reflect the region’s growth and increased “demand from our patients to receive exceptional healthcare closer to where they live and work.”
“This growth demonstrates our commitment to doing everything it takes to make healthcare more accessible and affordable while being conveniently located,” she continued.
