First Financial Bank to host local food drive this October

First Financial Bank will host a food drive from this October to collect canned and nonperishable boxed items for those in need.

The bank plans to set up more than three dozen collect bins at financial centers throughout Greater Cincinnati between Oct. 7-25. After the drive, First Financial associates will choose a local nonprofit to distribute the collected food to the surrounding community.

Details on how to take part are available on First Financial’s website.

“Addressing food insecurity in the neighborhoods we serve is an inspiring goal for us, building on our commitment to help our clients and communities thrive,” said Roddell McCullough, chief corporate responsibility officer for First Financial Bank.

First Financial has a history of backing local efforts to fight food insecurity. This past year, its associates and volunteers donated 1,787 food items to help local residents in Greater Cincinnati, and over 6,600 food items across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois.

“Our drives in previous years have always brought so much fun while lifting our neighbors and communities, and everyone on our team is looking forward to filling those bins to the top again this year,” McCullough said.
