Aviatra Accelerators has launched a new incubator in Covington’s Innovation Alley.
The Aviatra Incubator, located next to its current office on West Pike Street, will provide early-stage women entrepreneurs in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with resources, mentorship and community to accelerate the growth of their fledgling businesses.
Beyond traditional startup support, the program offers what Aviatra President Jill Morenz called “a safe, comfortable and collaborative space” where women can “connect, share knowledge and grow alongside fellow female entrepreneurs.”
“Many early-stage female entrepreneurs lack easy access to resources like affordable office space, funding opportunities and experienced mentors,” said Morenz, who also serves as CEO. “The incubator aims to reduce those barriers and address specific challenges women face in entrepreneurship.”
The Aviatra Incubator offers:
- Below-market-rate dedicated office space for six women-owned businesses
- Co-working space for women business owners
- Pop-up retail space for women entrepreneurs to showcase their products
- Versatile event space for meetings, classes, retreats or other professional gatherings
- Membership in Aviatra’s paid community.
Aviatra’s board views the new incubator as a way to contribute to Covington’s economic vitality and spur in the region.
“Our goal is to create an ecosystem of mutual support and level the playing field for women-owned businesses,” Morenz said.
