Before Family Promise, Worrell spent over a decade working in underserved communities to address housing needs and develop policy recommendations aimed at helping families achieve financial stability. A licensed attorney in Florida and Georgia, she previously operated her own private practice.

Worrell will take up her new role with The Women’s Fund on Oct. 28.

“We are thrilled to welcome Camilla to The Women’s Fund of Greater Cincinnati Foundation,” said Rasheda Cromwell, chief impact officer at GCF. “With nearly two decades of experience helping families address housing needs through intervention programs and advocacy, Camilla is an exceptional fit for our organization. We believe her vast experience will be transformative for The Women’s Fund, the women we serve, and the entire community.”

In her new role, Worrell will work to advance gender and racial equity for women across the region. She described The Women’s Fund as a valuable resource for the area and expressed her desire to “help inspire investment and drive innovation for gender and racial equity.”

“I am passionate about addressing the barriers facing women using community solutions derived from evidence-based research,” Worrell said. “I believe investing in women creates healthy communities.”
