Dress for Success Cincinnati has appointed a former nonprofit executive with a background in banking as its new president and CEO.
On Tuesday, the organization announced that Meggan Thompson will assume its top leadership role, effective immediately. With over 10 years of banking experience and a recent stint as chief program officer at the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative, Thompson brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position.
According to the hiring announcement, Thompson’s experience in youth development, financial services and community engagement made her an ideal candidate.
“I’m excited to focus on building strategic partnerships,” Thompson said in a statement. “We have a huge opportunity to raise awareness about our full range of services, and there are several creative ways to do that.”
In her new role, Meggan will help lead Dress for Success in its mission to empower women in our community to achieve economic independence. Since its founding in 1999, the organization has supported over 25,000 women in the region, providing essential resources, mentorship and professional attire to help women overcome employment barriers.
With the recent launch of its Following Dreams Paths to Thriving program, Dress for Success Cincinnati has doubled down on its commitment to helping women achieve long-term success and professional fulfillment.
“What drew me to DFSC is its holistic approach and transformative power,” Thompson said. “As a servant leader who thrives in small collaborative environments, I find that DFSC’s small but mighty team is a perfect match for my passion and skills.”
