Baker Hunt seeks artists for Covington show

The Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center is calling on local artists to submit their artwork for an exhibit at the DBL Law office in Covington, Kentucky.

The exhibit is open to traditional and nontraditional 2D artworks that fit into one of several themes: perspective, flora and fauna, identity, animal, surreal, destination, architecture and an “open” category.

When submitting, please choose the theme that best fits your artwork. These themes are open to interpretation, and you must select the one that aligns with your piece. You’ll also need to include a statement explaining why you chose that theme and how it relates to your artwork.

You must submit applications online by Feb. 18. Baker Hunt will notify those selected by Feb. 20.

If picked for the show, art will be on display at DBL’s offices in the historic Monarch Building on Fourth Street between Greenup Street and Scott Boulevard. The exhibit will run from March 4 to Aug. 15.

Free guided tours, led by docents, will be open to the public. Tours do require registration in advance. Admission is free.

You can still catch the current art show on display until Feb. 7, with tour times available. For information on the current show and future exhibits, visit www.bakerhunt.org/events.
