Cincinnati Art Museum up for Best Art Museum title

The Cincinnati Art Museum is the latest local institution to receive a nomination for this year’s USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Previously, 10Best editors and subject experts nominated the American Sign Museum, Cincinnati History Museum, The Children’s Museum and the National Underground Railroad Freedom in various categories. The Queen City also seeks to retain its crown at the Best City for Street Art in the United States.

Now, it’s the Cincinnati Art Museum’s turn. The Mount Adams facility is one of 20 art museums in the running. The 10 with the most fan votes at the end of the competition will earn a spot on the 10Best list for 2025.

Best Art Museum voting is up until noon on Monday, Feb. 17. A person individual may vote once per day.

“A winning art museum lifts up its city alongside a great children’s hospital, a beautiful parks system, championship sports teams and outstanding universities — all points of pride that bring us together in Cincinnati,” said Cameron Kitchin, CAM’s director. “Here in the heart of the Midwest, we believe in art as central to a vibrant, connected, and aspirational forward-looking community of creators and innovators.”

CAM is no stranger to the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice list. The museum ranked No. 8, No. 4 and No. 9 of the 10 best free museums in 2022, 2021 and 2020, respectively.
