Farmer Foundation match helps PWC raise $1.27M

People Working Cooperatively raised nearly $1.27 million in the later part of last year thanks to a matching grant provided by the Farmer Family Foundation.

PWC – a local nonprofit that helps homeowners make necessary property repairs – received $633,619.55 in donations during a match period, between March 15 and Nov. 15, 2024. The Farmer Family Foundation then matched every dollar raised, doubling the total to $1,267,240.

These funds will go toward reducing PWC’s waitlist of homeowners in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton and Warren counties who need home repairs or accessibility modifications. Projects include fixing broken water pipes, heating issues, electrical hazards, ramp installation and more by PWC’s trained, licensed and bonded staff of skilled tradespeople.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported PWC during this fundraising period,” said Jock Pitts, PWC’s president. “We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to The Farmer Family Foundation for matching the generosity of our community.”

Notably, PWC’s annual Ramp It Up for Veterans telethon, which aired on WCPO-TV on Veterans Day (Nov. 11), raised $44,437, with all proceeds going toward the matching grant. This funding will specifically go to home repairs and accessibility improvements for local veterans.

As PWC celebrates 50 years of service in 2025, the organization asks community members who are able to consider supporting the PWC’s work.
