Know Theatre unveils 2025-26 lineup

Know Theatre of Cincinnati’s 2025-2026 season features a mix of regional premieres, local storytelling and returning favorites, along with the 23rd annual Cincinnati Fringe Festival.

The season opens with the regional premiere of “King James” by Rajiv Joseph, running Sept. 11–27. Directed by Darnell Pierre Benjamin, the two-man comedy explores basketball, brotherhood and LeBron James.

Other season highlights include the return of “‘Die Hard’ is a Christmas Movie” (Nov. 28–Dec. 21), one of the theater’s best-selling productions this season, and “Constellations” by Nick Payne (Feb. 12–21, 2026), a love story exploring the infinite possibilities of human connection.

The season also features the world premiere of “The Ravenside Occurrence” by Cincinnati playwright Derek J. Snow (March 27–April 18, 2026). It’s a supernatural drama set in 19th-century London with an original string quartet score by Jimmie A. Parker.

Beyond its mainstage productions, The Know is bringing back its annual Cincinnati Fringe Festival, May 29–June 13, 2026, with a lineup featuring unique performances from local, national and international artists.

Other returning programming includes “SERIALS!” (Jan. 26–March 23, 2026), a Monday night episodic event featuring five new short plays. Next season will also welcome the Cincinnati Storytelling Festival (Nov. 13–15, 2025) to the Over-the-Rhine theater for a celebration of diverse voices and traditions.

“There is a thread that runs through this season’s productions,” said Bridget Leak, producing artistic director, who developed the lineup alongside managing director Ri Moodie.

“These are stories about people finding their community and bracing themselves for the hard times to come,” she continued. “If your world is feeling lonely right now, The Know can be a place for you.”

For young audiences, the Know will continue its youth education program in partnership with InBocca Performance, offering fall, spring and summer sessions for students in grades 3-12.

The theater remains committed to accessibility, with ASL-interpreted performances, discounted tickets for arts and service industry workers, and pay-what-you-wish Thursdays.

Season subscriptions are available for $250, with additional discounts for “‘Die Hard’ is a Christmas Movie” tickets.
