Per Scholas expands Greater Cincy presence with Covington campus

Per Scholas, a national nonprofit offering tuition-free tech training, expanded its Greater Cincinnati presence with a new satellite campus in Covington to meet growing demand for skilled technology workers in Northern Kentucky.

The organization celebrated the milestone on Friday at the Kentucky Career Center on Madison Avenue, where leaders highlighted the program’s impact and future opportunities for local residents.

Speakers at the event included Covington Mayor Ron Washington, Susan Culp of Archer Daniels Midland, Brent Cooper of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Correy Eimer of the Northern Kentucky Area Development District and Michael Stovall, a Per Scholas Greater Cincinnati alum.

Per Scholas connected graduates directly with employer partners across the region, helping bridge the talent gap while boosting economic mobility for individuals historically underrepresented in tech.

Since launching in 2013, Per Scholas Greater Cincinnati has trained more than 1,200 graduates in high-demand fields including IT support, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. The Covington campus offers both remote and in-person courses, accessible by public transit, at no cost to learners.
