CCAC seeks local artists for Golden Ticket show

The Clifton Cultural Arts Center is calling on regional artists to submit work for its annual Golden Ticket juried exhibition, presented by Summerfair Cincinnati. The show runs Nov. 14 through Dec. 12.

Artists 18 and older who live or work within 50 miles of CCAC’s Clifton Avenue facility are eligible to enter. The exhibition welcomes all fine art media, including installation, sound, performance and works that defy traditional classification.

This year’s prizes total more than $1,500. Best in Show receives $800 and a solo exhibition at CCAC, while second and third place awards are $300 and $200, respectively. Honorable mentions and a People’s Choice award each carry $100.

Past Best in Show winners include Nathan Currier-Groh (2024), Paul Loehle (2023), Leslie Getz (2022), Judith Effa Ford (2021) and Shelby Alexander (2020).

A jury of regional arts leaders will select the winners, including Christina Vassalo, executive director of the Contemporary Arts Center; Michael Hurst, area director of museum operations at 21c Museum Hotel; and Ena Nearon, arts advocate, curator and owner of Ten Talents Network.

Early-bird submissions are due Aug. 31 at 11:59 p.m. EST, with a final deadline of Sept. 29 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

The exhibition will open Nov. 14 with a reception and awards ceremony from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
