Viva Voices Choral Organization will mark a half-decade of existence with a season of concerts that includes a holiday program with brass band and a patriotic salute for America’s 250th birthday.
The 200-member group, made up of the Viva Voices Chorale, Chamber Ensemble, Children’s Choir and Youth Chorus, will stage five concerts during the 2025-26 season.
“Our 5th Anniversary Season is a musical milestone,” said Founding President Tony Burdette. “Every concert honors the joy of singing together and the power of community connection through music.”
The season begins Nov. 22 with Celebrate Giving, a free benefit concert for the Ruth Lyons Children’s Fund at Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, Kentucky, featuring the Children’s Choir and Youth Chorus.
Other highlights include:
- A Viva Voices Christmas Celebration with the River’s Edge Brass Band on Dec. 13 at Christ Church Cathedral in Cincinnati.
- A Classic Celebration featuring music by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven on April 11 at Mother of God Church in Covington.
- A fifth anniversary gala on April 26 at Music Hall Ballroom in Cincinnati, with all four choirs, a silent auction and WGUC host Elaine Diehl as emcee.
- Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday on May 3 at Drees Homes Auditorium in Erlanger, Kentucky, performed by the Children’s Choir and Youth Chorus.
Burdette, who also serves as artistic director, said the anniversary season reflects Viva Voices’ “ongoing commitment to musical excellence and community engagement” by “bringing together singers of all ages in dynamic and meaningful performances” across Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.
