Oncology Hematology Care has relaunched the philanthropic arm it founded more than two decades ago, expanding its purpose and reintroducing it to the community under a new name.
Dr. Richard Levy created the Oncology Consultants Cancer Research Fund about 25 years ago. For the past 15 years, the fund stayed mostly quiet, while continuing to support organizations such as Cancer Family Care and Cancer Support Community.
Now operating as the OHC Foundation, the organization reflects OHC’s mission to deliver leading-edge cancer care while surrounding patients and families with resources to manage the full impact of a cancer diagnosis. The foundation funds innovative research, provides support to patients and families, and promotes cancer education and prevention across Southwest Ohio.
Its programs advance awareness about prevention and treatment, offer community education, and provide financial assistance to adults and families facing cancer. Donors help fund patient assistance through gift cards, educational outreach, and research initiatives. Those who give in memory of loved ones may direct their contributions to specific locations.

OHC physicians across multiple specialties – including medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, bone marrow and cellular therapy, breast surgical oncology, genetics, palliative care, and clinical research – support the foundation’s work. A three-member board guides its direction: Dr. Suzanne Partridge, a Cincinnati medical oncologist; Shannon Starkey-Taylor, CEO of Learning Grove; and Carey M. Kuznar, vice president of advancement for Magnified Giving.
The revitalized OHC Foundation made its public debut Sept. 27 at the Zero Prostate Cancer Run/Walk, where it sponsored a remembrance garden to honor those affected by the disease.
