Clovernook Center picks longtime nonprofit leader as next CEO

Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired has selected longtime nonprofit leader Jennifer DuBois as its next chief executive officer.

The organization, which operates the world’s largest Braille printing house and offers programs for visually impaired youth, cited DuBois’ two decades of nonprofit leadership experience in making the selection. That experience includes 20 years with the Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired, where she held senior roles including chief financial officer and vice president. Clovernook Center emphasized that her time with CABVI helped her develop partnerships and advocate for the blind and visually impaired community.

Most recently, DuBois served as chief financial officer for Cincinnati Opera.

“My professional background will allow me to support Clovernook Center in building upon its stellar reputation while ensuring its stability into the future,” said DuBois, who holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Miami University and an MBA from University of Cincinnati.

“I have a passion for service and feel called to continue to contribute to the BVI community,” she continued. “I welcome the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, working together to fulfill the mission of Clovernook Center.”

DuBois will formally assume her role at Clovernook Center on Nov. 3, succeeding Paul Brunner, who has served as interim CEO since March.

As CEO, DuBois will oversee budgeting, program development and stakeholder engagement, along with fundraising and strategies to improve printing and distribution operations. She has also served on the boards of several local organizations, including OneSource Center for Nonprofit Excellence, Impact 100 and Pilgrim Chapel.

In a statement, DuBois said she looks forward to expanding Clovernook’s youth services and exploring growth opportunities for its Tactile Literacy and Arts & Accessibility programs.

“Together, we will continue to innovate to ensure long-term sustainability for Clovernook Center,” she said.
